How you can be involved

  • Pray that the Associate Pastor Search Team is patient, manages their time well and remains unified as they seek the Lord’s sovereign plan.
  • Pray that the Lord’s hand is on the process and that the members of FBC Barstow have faith in His perfect timing and providence.
  • Pray for a future harmonious relationship between the existing pastors and our future associate pastor.
  • Pray for the church, that we would continue to experience the presence of God in our life and abide in Jesus. Pray that the Holy Spirit continues to stir our hearts for exciting changes. Pray that there would be church-wide unity in the transition.
  • Pray that the Lord is continuing to prepare the heart of the future pastor towards our fellowship. Pray that he will have a passion to help grow the church and reach young families.
  • Pray for our next associate pastor,
    • That he would not shrink back from suffering for the gospel – 1 Thessalonians 2:2.
    • That he will work to please God, not men – 1 Thessalonians 2:4 and 2:6.
    • That he would encourage and be gracious  –  1 Thessalonians 2:5.
    • That he will be gentle and that he will try tenderness before toughness – 1 Thessalonians 2:7.
    • That he would present the gospel and care for the church – 1 Thessalonians 2:8.
    • That he will work hard – 1 Thessalonians 2:9.
    • That he will strive for holiness  - 1 Thessalonians 2:10.
  • Pray blessing to all the co-laborers in Christ who will and have applied so far.
